About the role

Senior Analytics & Reporting Developer (Power BI/Databricks/DAX) - Portugal or Spain Full Remote

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join an international technology environment focused on building modern data and analytics solutions that help organisations make better business decisions. As a Senior Analytics & Reporting Developer, you will turn complex datasets into actionable insights through high-quality reporting, dashboards and performance measurement solutions.

This role is ideal for an experienced analytics professional who combines advanced Power BI development with Databricks reporting capabilities and enjoys working directly with business stakeholders. You will contribute to the evolution of enterprise analytics, improving reporting consistency, enabling self-service analytics and exploring AI-powered approaches to insight generation.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

You will design, develop and optimise business-facing reports, dashboards and scorecards using Power BI and Databricks SQL on top of a modern Lakehouse platform. Your responsibilities will include building semantic models, reusable reporting datasets, advanced calculations and KPIs that support executive and operational decision-making.

You will also develop analytical queries, views and dashboards directly within the Databricks ecosystem, working with curated Gold-layer data and collaborating closely with Data Engineers and Data Architects to ensure consistent business definitions and reliable data consumption.

A key part of the role involves gathering business requirements, facilitating stakeholder workshops and translating business needs into practical analytical solutions. You will help improve self-service analytics adoption and ensure that reporting assets deliver clear, consistent and actionable insights.

The role also offers opportunities to explore AI-enabled analytics, including Power BI Copilot, Databricks Genie and other generative AI capabilities that support conversational analytics and natural-language querying.
