About the Role

A US-based social services organization is seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to keep its hiring and HR administration running efficiently on a day-to-day basis. This is a high-execution role that spans full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, training coordination, employee engagement, and payroll support. You will work closely with the People and Culture Director, who leads coaching, development, and retention, while you own the operational and administrative engine behind those functions.

The role is based in the Philippines and aligned to Arizona business hours (approximately 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM PHT, Monday through Friday). All communication and candidate-facing work is conducted in English.

Prepare welcome emails, system access requests, and first-week schedules for all new hires

Training Coordination

Build and publish the training calendar at least 30 days in advance

Schedule trainers, virtual meeting links, and sessions; manage registrations and attendance tracking

Track completion of required trainings and flag employees who are behind schedule

Route last-minute training requests to the People and Culture Director for approval before any changes are made to the calendar

Coordinate logistics for team events, recognition programs, and incentives, including invitations, online orders, vendors, and timelines

Manage the culture plan budget provided before each event; track spending and receipts

Send monthly employee engagement surveys and summarize results for leadership review

Maintain HR trackers for headcount, open positions, turnover, and training completion

Payroll and Benefits Support (Preparation Only)

This role supports payroll preparation but does not process or approve payroll.

Review timesheets in Gusto before each payroll cutoff; send an exceptions list covering missed punches, missing approvals, overtime spikes, and hours that do not match the schedule

Remind employees and supervisors to submit and approve timecards before the deadline

Check mileage reimbursement logs for completeness and accuracy before approval

Maintain a payroll change log each pay period (new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, bonuses) and submit it before each payroll run

Track PTO requests and balances; flag scheduling conflicts

Maintain the payroll calendar and send reminders; answer basic employee questions and route pay-amount questions to the appropriate contact

Collect I-9 documents and track completion deadlines (in-person document review is handled by a US-based representative)

Prepare responses to unemployment claim notices for approval before the deadline

Send benefits enrollment reminders for new hire and open enrollment periods; track completion

Track workers' compensation injury report paperwork and route to the insurance contact
