About Ihsan

Ihsan is building a new digital home for the global Muslim community.

Our long-term vision is to create a super app that brings the Ummah together in one place—starting with private communication and expanding into payments, commerce, investment, education, media and more.

The first foundation is Ihsan Connect: a private messenger designed to connect Muslims across countries, cultures and languages. Over time, it will become the entry point to a wider ecosystem including Ihsan Pay, business tools, communities, a marketplace and other services.

We believe the Muslim world should have digital infrastructure that reflects its values, protects its independence and makes it easier for Muslims worldwide to connect, collaborate and do business.

The role

We are looking for an exceptional product designer to become the founding owner of UX, UI and in-app motion across the Ihsan super app.

You will shape how Ihsan looks, feels and works. You will improve the existing mobile product and design future parts of the super app—from messaging and profiles to payments, communities, marketplace features and more.

This is not a marketing-graphics or video-editing role. We need someone who has designed real consumer mobile products and understands how to turn complex features into simple, beautiful and intuitive experiences.

You will work closely with our founders, product team and React Native developers to create a world-class mobile experience for iOS and Android.

What you will design

The visual identity and user experience of the Ihsan super app

Clean, intuitive mobile journeys for Ihsan Connect

Private messaging, groups, profiles, contacts and communities

Ihsan Pay flows, including balances, transfers, QR payments, cards and transaction history

Premium membership and subscription experiences

In-app animations, transitions and micro-interactions

Interactive prototypes for new features before development begins

Accessible and easy-to-understand experiences for a global audience

Mobile experiences that work across languages, including future right-to-left Arabic support

Your responsibilities

Own product design from early ideas to development-ready specifications

Improve the usability and visual quality of the existing app

Turn product requirements into clear user flows, wireframes and polished interfaces

Build and maintain a scalable design system in Figma

Create prototypes that help the team validate ideas before development

Design meaningful in-app motion that makes the product feel premium, clear and alive

Work closely with React Native engineers during implementation

Review implemented features and ensure they match the intended design

Identify confusing user journeys and propose practical improvements

Help establish a high design standard as Ihsan grows

Create a consistent experience across messaging, payments, commerce and future super-app services

What we are looking for

5+ years of product-design experience for consumer digital products

A strong portfolio showing polished mobile-app work you personally designed

Experience designing and shipping iOS and Android applications

Strong UX skills: user flows, information architecture, onboarding and usability

Excellent visual-design skills: typography, layout, hierarchy, colour and spacing

Expert-level Figma experience, including components, variants, auto-layout and design systems

Experience creating interactive prototypes

Experience with in-app motion and micro-interactions using tools such as Rive, Lottie, After Effects, Principle, ProtoPie or similar

Understanding of mobile-platform patterns and App Store / Google Play expectations

Strong english communication skills

High ownership and comfort working in a founding-stage environment

Strong advantages

Who this role is not for

This role is unlikely to be suitable if your experience consists primarily of:

Marketing graphics, social-media content or advertising design

Video editing without product-design experience

Branding only, without mobile-app UX/UI work

Website design only, without real iOS or Android app experience

Design work without a clear portfolio showing what you personally owned
