About the role

Fully remote (but based in the the UK)

A great role for someone able to influence change through a screen

18 months FTC

CRM Manager | 18-month fixed-term contract | Fully remote | £44,800

Ever seen a brilliant new system go live, only to watch people quietly carry on with their clunky spreadsheets? We're determined that won't happen here, and we're looking for the person who'll make sure of it.

At DFN Project SEARCH, we help young people with learning disabilities and autism move into meaningful, paid employment through supported internships with host employers across the UK. We've grown quickly, and our ambition is to support 10,000 interns by 2030. To get there, we need systems that can grow with us. Right now, too much of what we know sits in spreadsheets, workarounds and the heads of key people.

So we're investing in a new CRM, and the project is already under way. We're choosing our technology partner in November and aiming to go live next September. We need someone in-house to take ownership of it from start to finish.

A bit about the role

You'll be our CRM subject matter expert. You'll report to our Head of Quality and work closely with the wider project team led by our Finance Director. There's no in-house IT team, so your expertise really matters. Over the 18 months you'll: Help shape and deliver the implementation, turning what our teams need into practical technical solutions

Work with our technology partner so we get a product that's right for us, on time and on budget

Lead data migration, working out where our data lives today and how best to bring it across

Set data standards, validation rules and quality controls, with GDPR firmly in mind

Build the dashboards and reports that will help us make better decisions, from programme performance to financial sustainability

Deliver training, guides and day-to-day support so the system actually gets used

Own the system once it's live, including updates, permissions, workflows and troubleshooting, and help us work out what CRM ownership should look like long term

What we're looking for Hands-on experience of implementing and managing a CRM. Microsoft Dynamics or CiviCRM experience would be a real plus

A strong grasp of CRM architecture, data structures and automation capabilities

Confidence with reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Solid project management, including working with external vendors, IT vendors and cross functional teams

Experience with data management, governance, and GDPR compliance.

And the bit that matters most: you can bring people with you. We're a fully remote team and not a highly technical organisation, so you'll need to explain things in straightforward terms, listen to how people really work, and influence them and show them how the system will make their lives easier through a screen - a skill not all people have!

Charity experience would be ideal, but it isn't essential. If you've led a CRM implementation elsewhere and you're curious, collaborative and happy to shape the system around how we work, we'd love to hear from you.

Personal Attributes Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented, with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.

Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.

Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and influence stakeholders.

Curious, innovative, and eager to drive continuous improvement.
